TELEPHONE COUNSELLING
Telephone counselling is available for those who prefer this way of experiencing their counselling or therapy.
It can also be a practical and convenient solution to transport or childcare difficulties as well as providing
an opportunity for couple counselling to take place when one partner may be in a different location.
Each telephone session starts and finishes on time and lasts for an hour. If you wish to book further sessions
or have on-going counselling following your first session, you can arrange this with your counsellor at the end
of the session.
CHARGES AND PAYMENT
Telephone counselling charges per session are; £45 for a daytime session, £50 for an evening session from 5pm onwards
and £55 for weekend sessions.
Payment for telephone counselling can be made online with your credit or debit card through PayPal and will need to be
processed before the start of your session time.
BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT
As with face-to-face counselling, appointments can be booked with a professional counsellor at a mutually agreed
time by calling 01793 339482 or by completing the
contact us form.
Appointments are available for daytime and evenings. There are also some limited weekend times available.
WHO CAN USE THE TELEPHONE COUNSELLING SERVICE?
Our services are available to individuals or couples for general counselling, relationship counselling or help with
sexual difficulties (psychosexual therapy).
Please note, we do not offer telephone counselling for children or young people under the age of 18 years.
CANCELLATIONS
As with face-to-face counselling, if you need to change or cancel a session, please let us know as soon as possible.
If you need to change your appointment, we will do our best to offer you an alternative appointment. However, failure
to keep an appointment or sessions cancelled at less that 48 hours notice will be charged at the full rate and a refund
will not be available.
CONFIDENTIALITY
Your telephone counsellor will be working to the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), code of ethics.
What you say in your therapy session will be held in confidence within our agency. However, we would not agree to keep
confidential any information that could lead to serious harm to yourself or a third party.
Reasons people have chosen telephone counselling over face-to-face counselling:
- Convenience – your counselling from the comfort of your own familiar surroundings at a time that suits your needs
- Travelling – no travelling time or travelling costs
- Availability – the service is accessible to those with mobility difficulties or living in isolated communities
- Couples can have joint counselling from different locations with three-way telephone calls
