ONLINE COUNSELLING

Online counselling is a flexible convenient way of receiving counselling sessions through a quality real-time ‘chat’ facility. You simply type your messages to your counsellor in the dialogue box on screen and your counsellor will type replies.

Online counselling is relatively new. Face to face counselling is generally the preferred way of engaging in therapy where possible; however, online counselling is able to offer counselling to those who may be unable to attend face to face counselling.

If you think you would like to use our online counselling service, you will need to arrange an appointment with us, either by telephone, email or our on line web site form. You will then be given a user name and password to access the on-line counselling and will need to pre-pay your session fee. Once you have completed these steps, you simply ‘log on’ via our website at the appointed time. Your counsellor will be there at the appointed time.

 CHARGES AND PAYMENT

Online counselling charges per session are; £45 for a daytime session, £50 for an evening session from 5pm onwards and £55 for weekend sessions.

Payment for Online counselling can be made online with your credit or debit card through PayPal and will need to be processed before the start of your session time.

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF ON-LINE COUNSELLING?

  • Online counselling service offers greater anonymity
  • Some people find they are less inhibited online and more able to ‘get to the point’ much quicker than in face to face sessions
  • No travel is necessary for online counselling. You can log on from the convenience of your own home or office
  • The service is accessible to some clients who may not be able to attend face to face counselling through home commitments, work issues or disability
  • Some remote areas may have few local counselling services available
  • Couples can share joint sessions from different locations, helpful when one partner has to work away from home
  • Some may feel more comfortable with their counselling session from the privacy of their own familiar environment
  • Some may feel more able to work in a face to face environment having experienced on line counselling
